If you’re a person who doesn’t want to wear a wig, then this post will be for you! While most people will want to cosplay a character that does have a lot of hair, there are still lots of bald characters available if that’s what you want to do. Whether your hair is actually bald, or you just want to wear a head mask so you can be bald, there are many options to choose from.
In this post, I’ll give you 15 bald cosplay ideas for you to try. These characters come from a variety of fandoms including Anime video games and comics. You will love some of these characters.
I also wanted to point out that anyone can cosplay these characters, no matter your gender or body type. If you wanted to cosplay someone bald, then go for it!
Alright without further ado, let’s get started!
1. Krillen from Dragon Ball
Of course I have to start this list with Krillen! If you didn’t know, Krillen is that short bald character from Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Although he is more known to be the comic relief in the series, Krillen is one of the most-liked Dragon Ball characters. Not only is his Destructo Disc attack really cool, but he’s a wonderful husband to Android 18, another iconic character.
If you decide to Krillen, he’s really easy to do! You just need his signature orange jumpsuit and you’re good to go!
2. Dr. Eggman from Sonic the Hedgehog
Dr. Eggman is the main villain of the Sonic series, so a lot of you video gamers must be familiar with him. But with the recent Sonic live-action films, he’s been popular again by the wonderful actor of Jim Carrey, the actor for Dr. Eggman in the movies. I really like his moustache, that’s what makes him look cool! I highly recommend cosplaying as Dr. Eggman. He’s one of the most iconic video game villains of all time. 🙂
So these days, I only see Shrek in a bunch of memes on the Internet. But he’s still a wonderful character to cosplay as. Who doesn’t love Shrek? If you like a challenging character to cosplay, then Shrek is definitely it. As you could imagine, you’ll need some green body paint and a face mask to complete the Shrek look. But you’ll look marvellous once you do!
4. Mr. Clean
Who doesn’t love Mr. Clean? Not only do the products clean your house real good, but the mascot is a sexy beast! If you are naturally bald, then Mr. Clean is pretty easy to cosplay. You just need a white shirt and white pants. And if you have facial hair, you’ll have to color your eyebrows white as well. But once you do that, you’ll look great!
5. Nappa from Dragon Ball Z
Another character from the Dragon Ball series, Nappa is definitely well-known. Even though he was only around for one saga, we still remember him for being the big and bulky sidekick of Vegeta. And of course, he was part of the infamous meme of Over 9000! Nappa may have been a villain, but a lot of us don’t feel that way about him.
Nappa is a great choice if you’re looking for someone bald to cosplay as. 🙂
6. Saitama from One Punch Man
One Punch Man is a relatively new series that was hot at the time and Saitama was the main character of that series. His incredible power was so strong that he was agitated and bored with the enemies given to him! Saitama is a fan favorite with his iconic cape and of course his bald appearance. Saitama is definitely one of the best bald characters you can cosplay as.
7. Aang from Avatar
When we talk about bald characters, we definitely cannot forget about Aang from Avatar. He’s the main character from the first series, The Last Airbender. His courage, honor and determination are what make him stand out among other cartoon protagonists.
As I mention in my popular cosplay ideas list, I feel like Avatar will become popular again. And with a new animated movie being released in 2025, you can bet that characters like Aang will be a big thing again. So I highly recommend cosplaying as Aang now and in the future!
Good old Thanos! If you haven’t been watching the Marvel films these days, he’s the main villain of The Avengers series and the poster for a lot of memes roaming around the Internet these days. He’s super strong and fearsome. So if you’re bald and want to cosplay a super villain, then Thanos is definitely a great choice. Thanos is now considered to be one of the greatest villains of all time. So you if you want to be a super villain, then you got to dress up as Thanos. 🙂
Can you believe that Popeye has been around for nearly 100 years? That is crazy when you think about it! But Popeye is one of the most iconic cartoon characters of all time, that’s for sure. Not only is he a cool-looking bald sailor, but he’s got big muscles as well. So if that’s the kind of character you’re looking to cosplay as, then you should definitely dress up as Popeye. I recommend him especially if you’re an older cosplayer. 🙂
10. Darth Maul from Star Wars
One of the most badass-looking characters in the Star Wars universe, Darth Maul is the main villain of the Phantom Menace (in the very first episode). Although the film itself is polarizing (you may or may not like the first movie), Darth Maul himself has always been hailed as a great villain. And why not? He looks super scary and intimidating, and he has a double-bladed lightsaber! That red face-paint always looks cool as well.
And yes, he is a bald character. So Darth Maul definitely works if you’re looking to cosplay someone bald!
11. Voldemort from Harry Potter
Voldemort is the ultimate evil character from the Harry Potter. He had done so many bad things to Harry and his family. He is quite the frightening character; he’s creepy-looking and his obsession with power is quite menacing. Even in the story, no one wanted to refer to Voldemort by name!
So if you want to cosplay someone truly evil, Voldemort is one of the best characters to do so. And of course, he is quite bald himself. 🙂
12. Master Roshi from Dragon Ball
Ah yes, we have another Dragon Ball character! I don’t know what it is, but Dragon Ball has a tendency to have some of the best bald characters in all of Anime. So I have to bring up Master Roshi of course.
He’s that old man who happens to be mentor for many Z Fighters, most notably Goku. Not only is Master Roshi wise and funny, but he also cracks us up with his crazy antics! So you don’t have to be as old as Master Roshi to cosplay as him. As long as you have a white beard, a walking stick, a face mask and sunglasses, you can cosplay as him!
Pennywise has seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years. It may be because of the film in 2017. But in any case, Pennywise is a scary looking bald clown! If you wanted to dress up as someone spooky, then Pennywise is truly a great choice if your clown makeup game is on point.
14. Kratos from God of War
Considered one of the best video game series of all time, God of War has been around for a long time and truly a gem. And of course, the main character from God of War is the almighty Kratos! He is just so big and badass, everyone knows who he is.
Kratos is probably one of the more difficult bald characters to cosplay as. You’ll need to have some good body paint skills to pull him off. But if you do, pretty much everyone will know who you are!
15. Dr. Evil from Austin Powers
Yeah baby! Even though Austin Powers is a relatively old movie by today’s standards (around 20 years old), a lot of us still remember the film and the iconic characters from it. One of them of course is the main villain, Dr. Evil. He is just so hilariously evil; he would be wonderful to cosplay as.
