It’s no secret these days that everyone is obsessed with all things cute. From Kawaii culture to cute mascot icons like Rilakuma and Hello Kitty, cuteness has taken over the world!
But what about in the world of cosplay? You can bet that we love our cute cosplay characters! And if you want to dress up as someone cute yourself, then this post is for you.
In this article, I’ll go over 15 cute cosplay ideas you should definitely try out. You’ll find many cute characters worth cosplaying. These are all from various video games, Anime, comic and more.

1. Klee from Genshin Impact
Let’s start off this list with a character that’s dangerously cute! Klee is from the popular game, Genshin Impact. She carries a backpack full of explosives and her best friend, Docodo, comes along with her. With her kid-like personality, not only is Klee adorable, but she is a great character to cosplay if you want to dress up as someone cute.
2. Mimikyu from Pokémon
There are many many cute Pokémon to choose from. But I decided to pick Mimikyu for this list because it’s spooky and cute! For those who don’t know, Mimikyu is a ghost Pokémon from Sun and Moon (aka Generation 7). Its main purpose is to copy Pikachu, hence the name Mimikyu. It’s not hard to cosplay as Mimikyu and definitely a lot of fun to do so!
3. Madoka from Madoka Magica
We all love our magical girls because a lot of them are cute! And Madoka is one of the iconic magical girls in recent memory. She is the main character of the popular series (Puella). You may think it’s your typical magical girl series, but you will be surprised if you decide to pick it up!
Madoka’s outfit is cute and beautiful and she’s still a popular character to this day. That’s why I recommend cosplaying Madoka if you want someone cute to dress up as!
4. Umaru from Himouto! Umaru-chan
At school, Umaru-chan seems like the typical perfect student with good grades, pretty looks and being skilled at everything. However, once she steps foot inside her home she lives a completely different life. Umaru-chan is actually a lazy character who munches on junk food, plays video games and watches a ton of Anime. She basically becomes Otaku slob! That’s why she’s such a great character to cosplay; being adorable and relatable. And the best part is that she’s so easy to do; wearing that hamster hoodie is so comfortable! Bring some potato chips and a bottle of pop with you while you cosplay her!
5. Yor Forger from Spy X Family
Ah yes, it’s Yor Forger! She’s one of the most popular characters these days, due to the recent popularity of Spy X Family. She is the arranged wife of Loid Forger. Although Yor is a secret assassin, don’t let that fool you. She has an adorable personality, especially when she tries to cook meals for others. And her outfit is just so hot! Yor is a great option for cosplay.
6. Ouran Host Club
If you want a series that makes your heart go Doki Doki, then you gotta consider cosplaying from Ouran Host Club! The characters aren’t that adorable so to say, but their personalities are just so warm and wonderful, it gives off a cute vibe.
I myself have cosplayed from Ouran and I can tell you how it is! What I really like is how easy it is to dress up from Ouran. You basically wear a white dress shirt, black tie and black dress pants. Add the signature blue blazer and you’re good to go!
7. Haru from Beastars
Here’s another character from a relatively new series! Haru is one of the main characters from Beastars. For those who don’t know, Beastars takes place in a world where animals of herbivores and carnivores try to coexist with each other.
You would think that Haru as a hate would be timid and shy. But in fact, she is quite fierce and dominant, even as a small herbivore! That’s what makes her cute to cosplay. Haru is really easy to cosplay as well: she wears a white apron and has bunny ears of course!
8. Lola Bunny from Space Jam
Who doesn’t love Lola Bunny? If you don’t know, Lola is one of the main characters of Space Jam, where she plays on the basketball team consisting of Looney Tunes characters (and Michael Jordan/LeBron James). Not only is Lola Bunny super cute to cosplay, but she’s also one of the easiest characters to do. All you need is her Space Jam basketball uniform, some bunny ears and bunny tail!
9. Xiangling from Genshin Impact
Xiangling is one of the most popular characters from Genshin Impact! She is a famous chef from the region of Liyue. Her outfit is actually really cool and she brings her trusty bear, Gouba, along with her. Xiangling’s most adorable line has to be, “My favorite place is the chicken…I mean kitchen!”
She’s definitely one of the best characters to cosplay from Genshin. Highly recommend!
10. Haruhi Suzumiya from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
The legendary Haruhi! She is from (that series), one of the most well-known series in the 2000s. Haruhi is cute and sassy, and her outfit is just as adorable. She is definitely a throwback cosplay worth dressing up as.
11. Klara from Pokémon Sword and Shield
Klara is one of the characters from Pokémon Sword and Shield, in the DLC that came after the initial game was released. After trying to become a singer with her cute personality and poison persona, Klara decided to become a Pokémon trainer (and your rival in the game).
She’s got a cute outfit and her personality is just as adorable. Bring a PokeBall or Slowbro plushie with you!
12. Barbara from Genshin Impact
Go Barbara go! Barbara works in the church for Mondstadt and she is the poster girl for all things wholesome and cute. In fact, she herself is trying to be an idol. So that should tell all about her personality. She also tries to make everyone in Mondstadt happy.
The best thing about cosplaying Barbara is she wears a beautiful outfit. That alone should be a good reason for you to cosplay as Barbara.
13. Nico Yazawa from Love Live!
I could have honestly put any character from Love Live! on this list, because they’re all cute in their own way. But Nico is by far the cutest of them all. With her adorable personality and her infamous slogan, “Nico Nico Nii!” You gotta cosplay as Nico if you want to dress up as someone cute.

Vocaloid has been incredibly popular throughout the years. But no other Vocaloid has seen more of the spotlight than Hatsune Miku. She’s the idol with the green hair who has been plastered all over the world and even had their own concert!
She is a really cute character worth cosplaying in my opinion. I’m pretty sure most people will recognize who you are, given how famous Miku is these days.
15. Bernadetta from Fire Emblem: Three Houses
When you think of a fighting tactical RPG game like Fire Emblem, you probably don’t associate the series with cute characters. But as a matter of fact, there are some cutesy personalities in the series, especially in the newer ones.
Bernadetta happens to be one of them. She is in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Bernadetta is painfully shy and reclusive, to the point where she hides in her room most of the time! She’s got a cute personality that many people love, and her purple hair is what makes her stand out.
So definitely consider cosplaying as Bernadetta if you want to dress up as someone cute from Fire Emblem!
