Sibling cosplay ideas!
This one is going to be different from my usual cosplay ideas. It’s not often we think about cosplaying with your brother, sister or any family/relative. But if you decided to search this post, then I’m sure that’s what you’re looking for. And Senpai is always here to give you what you want!
So in this post, I’ll give you 15 sibling cosplay ideas for you and your sibling to try!
Most of these characters are actual siblings in the fandom or show. But some of these characters work very well for a sibling duo. I have a bunch of ideas for you, so I’m sure at least a few will spark you and your sibling’s interest.
Without further ado, let’s get started!
1. Android 17 and 18 from Dragon Ball Z
Dragon Ball Z is full of iconic characters. And while Android 18 usually gets most of the attention, when it comes to sibling cosplay ideas, Android 17 is a perfect match with 18. Both of them created by the evil Dr. Gero, they were sent to destroy and attack the Z Fighters. But in the end, they ended up being good guys after things are said and done (if not counting the alternate timeline). Not only are Android 17 and 18 a great pair for sibling cosplay, they’re also easy to dress up as.
2. Kamisato Ayaka and Ayato from Genshin Impact
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the longest time, then you know that Genshin Impact cosplays are incredibly popular these days! And for good reason; the story is great and the character designs are so top notch that they translate well into the cosplay world. (If you want Genshin cosplay ideas, click here to view)
And if you’re looking sibling cosplay ideas, the most iconic in Genshin is none other than Ayaka and Ayato. Both are from the region of Inazuma and represent the highly prestigious Kamisato Clan. Ayaka has been popular for the longest time, while Ayato was released not too long ago. So if you have a sibling you want to cosplay together with, then Ayaka and Ayato are perfect. You both will get a lot of attention at a con, guaranteed. 🙂
3. Tanjiro and Nezuko from Demon Slayer
Another popular cosplay series, Demon Slayer has been red-hot since it came out as an Anime. And of course, the two most main characters are none other the siblings of Tanjiro and Nezuko. What’s nice is that their outfits are really beautiful. And Nezuko in particular is unique with that muzzle she wears in order to avoid biting people! Tanjiro and Nezuko are perfect if you and your sibling want to cosplay together.
4. Mario and Luigi
I mean, who doesn’t know Mario and Luigi at this point? They’re probably the most well-known video game brothers since Nintendo became prominent in the video game industry. So if you and your sibling want to dress up as the iconic plumbers, go for it! And don’t think you need to be a guy in order to cosplay them. There have been plenty of females and other genders that have cosplayed Mario and Luigi as well. 🙂
5. Plusle and Minun from Pokémon
If you’re looking for a cute sibling cosplay ideas to do, then go for Plusle and Minun! They are from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, and they look like mini versions of Pikachu. Plusle has red cheeks, while Minun has baby blue. As with many Pokémon cosplays, you can just do something casual.
6. Kitana and Mileena from Mortal Kombat
If you want to dress up as characters who are badass fighters, then consider Kitana and Mileena from Mortal Kombat! While in the game, Mileena is an evil clone/twin of Kitana, in the cosplay world you can be together. With Kitana, you should bring a fan as a cosplay prop. With Mileena….those long sharp claws.
7. Hikaru and Kaoru from Ouran Host Club
Ouran Host Club is a great Anime couple cosplay to do your significant other! For one, it’s insanely easy to do – all you need is black dress pants, a dress shirt and tie, and the signature Ouran blue blazer.
And you have a variety of characters to choose from. In case you and your sibling will want to be Hikaru and Kaoru; the Htachiin twins!
8. The Byleths from Fire Emblem: Three Houses
So when you start the game of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, you choose the gender of your main character (Byleth). Both genders look awesome! So a great idea would be for both of you to cosplay both genders of Byleth! One of you will be the Male Byleth, while the other is the Female Byleth. You will look great together. What’s interesting is that they have different signature swords as well. So if you guys wanted to go the extra mile, be sure to add the respective swords for Male and Female Byleth!
9. Barbara and Jean from Genshin Impact
Another sibling duo you can cosplay from Genshin Impact! If you and your sibling are both female, and you both want to cosplay as female characters, then Barbara and Jean are a great choice. Barbara is the cheery church girl from Mondstadt, while Jean is the hardworking stern leader of the city. Both of them have unique outfits: Barbara has that beautiful dress, while Jean has got the tight whites. A perfect sister sibling cosplay combo!
10. Itachi and Sasuke from Naruto
While Sasuke and Itachi don’t have a great relationship in the actual series, that doesn’t mean you can’t cosplay them together in real life! Both are from the Uchiha clan. If you have an older brother, then he should be Itachi, while you should cosplay Sasuke.
11. Luke and Leia Skywalker from Star Wars
The main characters of the original Star Wars trilogy are actually siblings! Yes, Luke and Leia are twins…well as of Episode 6. Whatever the debatable retcon is, you can cosplay both of them if you and your sibling are into Star Wars. Even though the film is nearly 50 years old, hey everyone knows who Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker are!
12. Anna and Elsa from Frozen
Let it go, let it go! Frozen is probably the most famous Disney movie in recent memory. And coincidentally, we have a powerful sibling duo of Anna and Elsa. Between you and your sibling, you’ll have to decide who gets to cosplay who!
13. Gaara and Temari from Naruto
Another Naruto sibling cosplay ideas! Temari is the big sister, while Gaara is the younger but definitely more volatile brother. While we don’t always see them together in the series, when it comes to cosplay, this is the perfect time to do so.
14. Aether and Lumine from Genshin Impact
For those who play Genshin, we’ve spent the entire game so far trying to look for our long lost sibling. But have we ever thought about cosplaying the two together? Well, now’s the perfect time! At least until further story developments come along.
15. Alphonse and Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist
Last but not least, we have the Elric brothers from Fullmetal Alchemist. These two guys are the main characters of the series. And while Al looks completely different from Ed due to the alchemy, make no mistake. Their brotherly love is undeniable. A perfect sibling cosplay idea. I’d throw in Winry if you have a sibling that wants to cosplay a female. While Winry isn’t related to Alphonse or Ed, she plays a key role in the series in helping them out. So it definitely feels familial to them.
To summarize, here are the 15 sibling cosplay ideas:
- Android 17 and 18 from Dragon Ball Z
- Kamisato Ayaka and Ayato from Genshin Impact
- Tanjiro and Nezuko from Demon Slayer
- Mario and Luigi
- Plusle and Minun from Pokémon

And there you have it; 15 sibling cosplay ideas for you!
Of course, if you and your sibling want to cosplay 2 characters that aren’t bloodline-related in the fandom, then by all means go for it. Hopefully this list gives you and your sibling some cool ideas to cosplay together.
