Trios cosplay ideas!
When it comes to the fictional world, whether in Anime, video games or comics…there seems to be a rule of 3? Like so many video game I’ve played, you got to hit the boss 3 times. Or do 3 quests to move onto the next thing.
Or in this case, there happens to be a trio of heroes and villains. But this makes for some great cosplay group ideas, and that is what we’ll be talking about today! Doing a trios together can get you some wonderful attention at conventions.
In this article, I’ll give you 10 trios cosplay ideas you and your two other friends should definitely try. These are from a variety of fandoms including Anime video games and comics. You’ll certainly have fun with these cosplays!
Without further ado, let’s get started.
1. The Powerpuff Girls – Blossoms, Bubbles and Buttercup
Of course we have to start with one of the memorable trios of all time, The Powerpuff Girls! It was such a wonderful cartoon from the 90s starring Blossoms, Bubbles and Buttercup. They’re a cute trio worth cosplaying, and they’re not too hard to do either.
2. Pokémon – Ash, Misty and Brock
The Pokémon series has a ton of characters worth cosplaying. But when it comes to trios, there is no trio more iconic than Ash, Misty and Brock. If you didn’t know, these three traveled together along Ash’s adventures as a Pokémon trainer in the Anime. They were together for a very long time, with Misty departing first and Brock shortly.
Even now, we’re finally saying goodbye to Ash in the Anime, which is really sad. But we’ll always remember the original trio of Ash, Misty and Brock! So they’re definitely worth cosplaying together. 🙂
3. Genshin Impact – Amber, Kaeya and Lisa
If you didn’t know, Genshin Impact is probably the most popular series to cosplay today. And why not? The game is awesome and the character designs are just wonderful.
In terms of a trio, there aren’t any defined ones in the game. But I will go with Amber, Kaeya and Lisa. Why? Not only are they are the first characters you encounter in the game, but they’re also the first characters to automatically join your party. So to me, there are the right trio to do if you want to cosplay from Genshin Impact.
4. Love Live!
Nico Nico Nii! Love Live! is always an easy choice if you have a group of people with you. It’s an iconic series that’s been around for a while. It’s so wholesome, hence why everyone loves to cosplay from the series.
5. Super Mario – Mario, Luigi and Peach
Who doesn’t know about Super Mario, one of the most well-known video game series of all time? Nintendo cosplays are always popular in the community. Peach has always been a fan favorite. But if you want to do a trios cosplay, then I suggest doing Mario, Luigi and Peach. Those three would go really well together in cosplay!
6. Futurama – Fry, Bender and Leela
Good old Futurama! It’s another iconic cartoon from the 90s. Although the series is older now, we do see Futurama cosplays from time to time, especially Leela. But if you have other friends who are into Futurama, then why not get the gang together and do a trios cosplay together? And you know the three characters I’m talking: Fry, Bender and Leela!
7. Black Butler – Sebastian, Ciel and Mey Rin
Simply marvelous! Sebastian from Black Butler was one of my favorite cosplays to do. I’ve had the opportunity to cosplay together with a bunch of Ciel’s.
But if you want to complete the trifecta in Black Butler, I would add Mey Rin to the mix. In the series, they actually do work and fight together against the bad guys. Another option is to substitute Mey Rin for Grelle. Either way, a Black Butler group cosplay is always fun to do!
8. Fire Emblem – Marth, Roy, Celica
Fire Emblem is full of wonderful characters worth cosplaying! From the older series such as Marth and Roy, to the newest ones such as Hilda, Rhea and Alear. If you and your friends want to cosplay 3 characters from Fire Emblem as a trio, then I would recommend Marth, Roy and Celica. These 3 are from the classic series, and they go well together!
9. Final Fantasy X-2 – Yuna, Rikku and Paige
Final Fantasy X is considered one of the best games in the franchise, with memorable characters like Tidus and Auron. But when the sequel for FFX came out, Square Enix gave us 3 baddies as for a trio – Yuna, Rikku and Paige!
Not only do they look beautiful and badass, but they make for a great trio in cosplay. It’s been a while since the game came out, yet we still remember the amazing characters from FFX. So I highly recommend doing the X-2 trio.
10. Star Wars – Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo
Last but not least, we have the most memorable trio in space opera history in Star Wars! We go back to the classic trilogy with Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo. Cosplay these 3 characters at a convention and you will all be in the spotlight!
