If you didn’t know, green hair is pretty popular in the fictional world. Whether it’s those wonderful Anime series or from a notable video game, there have been many characters throughout the years who have green hair. I’m sure if you are reading this, you are wonderful which character to cosplay as. Well that’s what this post is all about!
In this article, I’ll go over 20 green hair cosplay ideas you should try! These characters are from a variety of fandoms including comic books, video games and Anime. I’m sure you’ll find one that you’ll love to cosplay as.
Without further ado, let’s get started!
1. Sucrose from Genshin Impact
Let’s start this list with a sweet character (pun intended) from the popular game, Genshin Impact. Sucrose is that lovely student scientist who loves to experiment with new things and try out different mixes. She is a pretty shy person in general, so she is definitely relatable. Her outfit is really cool and overall, Sucrose is a wonderful choice for a green hair cosplay idea!
2. Bulma from Dragon Ball
If you’re into Anime, then you’ll definitely know who Bulma is! If you don’t, then she is the iconic leader of the Capsule Corporation from the Dragon Ball series! She may not be as strong or talented as the other Z Fighters, but she makes up for it with her intelligence. Bulma is the one inviting all the cool gadgets for the fighters, and she makes for a great wife of Vegeta. Bulma has various outfits that are easy to do, so you can pick one of them that suits you.
3. Kuki Shinobu from Genshin Impact
The lovely Kuki! She is one of the main members of the Arataki Gang. Unlike the other members, Kuki is the one making sure they don’t get out of the line. You could argue she is the one really in control. Kuki’s outfit is really unique and of course she has that lovely green hair!
4. Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Byleth is definitely the first character to mind when it comes to Fire Emblem Three Houses cosplay. Although Byleth is a semi-silent protagonist, they do have a bit of personality. Byleth ends up becoming a teacher for the students in the Monastery. Professor Byleth is someone that your students look up to, whether they’re on the battlefield or in casual support conversations in the game.
Byleth has a nice character design: blue hair (green hair in the Post Timeskip version), casual armor attire, and the cool-looking weapon, The Sword of the Creator. Male Byleth reminds me of Marth, while the female version has that adorable Waifu look. Byleth is a fan favourite for Three Houses fan. It’s probably why they were included in Smash, despite being just another sword user in the game!
5. Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist
Envy is quite the enigma! He is one of the major antagonists in Fullmetal Alchemist. He is incredibly powerful and possesses a wicked ability to persuade others his way. Envy’s outfit is pretty easy to do, and better suited for those summertime conventions/photoshoots. His iconic green hair sticks out and will definitely be the focus of your cosplay outfit.
6. Sona from League of Legends
Before the KDA hype train, there was Sona. She was definitely one of the more popular LoL cosplays back in the day. Her outfit was definitely unique, with her keyboard-like stand in front of her and her magnificent dress. Although the hype for Sona isn’t the same, I think she’s still worth cosplaying.
7. Xiao from Genshin Impact
Xiao is one of the most popular characters in Genshin, with his dark and moody demeanor. Xiao is still a Husbando to many Genshin players, so he’s a great cosplay choice. Bring a staff with you as he likes to plunge into his enemies!
Not much needs to be said about a character that is so iconic today. Joker is one of the main villains from the DC Universe. With his crazy personality and antics, Joker has gained quite the following with a lot of fans. You should find a Harley Quinn to make for a great couples cosplay.
9. Zoro from One Piece
Zoro is one of the main characters from the legendary series, One Piece. He is incredibly strong and his personality really shines out. If you can pair your Zoro cosplay with a pair of (fake) swords, then your Zoro cosplay will stand out!
10. Rydia from Final Fantasy IV
I feel like Rydia isn’t too well-known in the gaming community, probably because Final Fantasy IV is an older game. But if you’ve played FFIV, then you’ll know how prominent Rydia is. She is the main summoner in your party and her outfit looks really wonderful. We didn’t get to see that in the original version due to the limited graphics at the time. But with the various remakes, we get to see awesome Rydia really looks! So I recommend cosplaying as her; she is an iconic character with green hair.
11. Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop
Cowboy Bebop is considered to be one of the best Anime series of all time, and that might have to do with the main character, Spike Spiegel. He’s a badass bounty hunter who looks stylish and awesome. Who doesn’t love a man who wears a suit and sports some sexy curly hair?
12. Flayn from Fire Emblem: Three Houses
She may look really young, but her intricate dialogue and elegant speaking beg to differ. Who knows how old Flayn actually is? Flayn isn’t actually a student at the Monastery; she is part of the Church and a family member of Seteth. Much of her past is shrouded in mystery. But all we know is that she loves fish!
It isn’t too hard to cosplay Flayn. All you need is her signature green hair and her outfit. And of course put on a bubbly face!
13. Rhea from Fire Emblem Three Houses
The queen of the Monastery! Lady Rhea is the one in charge of the Church and Monastery. She’s one of the main characters of the game and you can feel her presence every time you run into her. Rhea can be one of the most calm and soothing characters, while also being the most vile and scary.
I would say Rhea is one of the more difficult characters to cosplay. Her dress and outfit in general is very unique and complicated. She’s got insanely long green hair and her signature crown that you’ll have to get commissioned or bought (unless you’re good at making those).
14. C.C. from Code Geass
Code Geass is one of the most popular Anime of all time, and C.C. is one of the main characters from this iconic series. Known for being emotionless yet incredibly powerful and practical, C.C. is well-liked by many viewers of the series. She’s got long green hair and even though Code Geass is an older series, you’ll still have tons of people who know who C.C. is!
15. Saria from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Saria is another notable character from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. She is one of the characters you meet when you first start the game. Not only does she guide you through the Kokiri Forest, she is also very prominent later in the game. If you’re a hardcore Zelda fan, then you should definitely cosplay as Saria! I mean, they named a song after her (ie Saria’s Song).
16. N from Pokémon
If there’s anything that made Pokemon Black and White stand out, it’s this character. N is one of the most complex characters of any Pokemon game. While he is one of the main villains in Black and White, he’s a truly misunderstood villain who has good intentions (sort of like Edelgard from Three Houses). It’s been a while since Black and White came out. But let’s not forget N by cosplaying him!
17. Hatsune Miku from Vocaloid
Vocaloid has been incredibly popular throughout the years. But no other Vocaloid has seen more of the spotlight than Hatsune Miku. She’s the idol with the green hair who has been plastered all over the world and even had their own concert!
She is a really cute character worth cosplaying in my opinion. I’m pretty sure most people will recognize who you are, given how famous Miku is these days.
18. Mobius from Honkai Impact
Mobius is an interesting character from Honkai Impact. She is an intelligent scientist who brings fear to anyone who works with her. If you’re looking for a green-haired character who looks a bit crazy and sinister, then Mobius is the right character for you to cosplay!
19. Sailor Pluto from Sailor Moon
Who doesn’t love Sailor Moon? It just so happens that Sailor Pluto has green hair! So if you want to cosplay as a Sailor Scout with green hair, then Sailor Pluto is the right match for you.
20. Tatsumaki from One Punch Man
Tatsumaki is one of the main characters from One Punch Man. With her adorable appearance and personality, she is quite the popular character! But don’t let the way Tatsumaki looks deceive you; she is insanely strong with her psychic abilities. Because One Punch Man has been popular for so long, many cosplayers have already dressed up as Tatsumaki. She is relatively easy to cosplay with a unique dress and of course her green hair.
To summarize, here are the 20 green hair cosplay ideas you should try:
