I myself have cosplayed bunch of characters with long hair, and I usually feel really cool being them. Just something about having a long wig that makes you feels good.

Sometimes I forget that Grell is a male character! But not only is Grell one of the more prominent characters of Black Butler, he is also incredibly popular as well. His signature long red hair looks good on any cosplayer and if you have his signature teeth and chainsaw weapon prop, you’ll look amazing as Grell!
2. Aquaman
Who doesn’t love Superheroes like Aquaman? Not only is he strong and powerful, but he also looks amazing! I think Jason Mamoa is a big reason why. Anyways, Aquaman is a great character with long hair. So if you want to cosplay an attractive male character with the long hair, then you should definitely consider Aquaman! Especially since the new film will be released later this year.
3. Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist
As someone who cosplays as Roy Mustang, I definitely know who Edward Elric is! He is the main character of Fullmetal Alchemist (FMA for short). He may not the strongest or even the tallest of characters (something he often gets made fun of), but by far he’s got the biggest heart of them all. And that’s what makes him so admirable.
Edward Elric has long blonde hair and wears a really cool outfit! If you are able to create his metallic arm, even better. 🙂
4. Kaeya from Genshin Impact
My boy Kaeya! Although Kaeya is not a main character, he is one of the first characters you meet in the game. Not only is Kaeya mysterious and cool, but he also looks great!
What I enjoyed most about cosplaying Kaeya is his long blue hair with white highlights. Not only does the ponytail look great but it also complements the eye patch really well. I highly recommend cosplaying as Kaeya.
5. Alucard from Hellsing
An oldie but a goodie! Alucard is that badass character from Hellsing that we all love. His personality is just so cool. Not only does he have that cool-looking long hair, his red outfit is really awesome. Therefore, Alucard is a wonderful choice if you’re looking to cosplay a male character with long hair.
6. Zhongli from Genshin Impact
Geo Daddy! Zhongli is one of the more popular characters from Genshin Impact. And for good reason. He is one of the strongest characters from Liyue, and a master of being diplomatic. His demeanour and attitude is simply wholesome as well.
I have cosplayed Zhongli and always had fun dressing up as him. His long brown ponytail hair didn’t bother me; in fact I enjoyed wearing his wig! I wore a different version of his outfit and it was great. Felt like the Geo Daddy that he is. You should definitely cosplay as Zhongli as well!
7. Ezio from Assassin’s Creed
I haven’t cosplayed as Ezio myself but one day I may have to. Assassin’s Creed is a well-known popular video game series with really fun gameplay and beautiful world exploration. Ezio, the main character of Assassin’s Creed, is a cool character worth cosplaying. And yes, he has long hair underneath that hoodie of his. Ezio’s cool costume is a great reason why you should cosplay him!
8. Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII
Sephiroth may be the biggest video game villain of all time. He’s the main antagonist in Final Fantasy VII and today, he is pretty much well-known. Sephiroth may not be the easiest character to cosplay but he can be well worth it! And of course, he’s got that super long hair you want to wear! It doesn’t have to be exact, so don’t worry too much if you don’t look exactly like Sephiroth.
9. Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean
Ah yes! Pirates of the Caribbean is actually one of the newer series. And while Elizabeth Swann and Will Turner are the main characters, I’d argue that Jack Sparrow is the star of the series. Not only is he a badass, he looks like a badass as well! If you can pull Jack Sparrow off, then you’ll look amazing with his long-hair dreadlocks.
10. Inuyasha
Last but not least, we have Inuyasha. He is the main character of the series named after him! Although Inuyasha is now a relatively older series, he’s still worth cosplaying. His long silver hair is majestic and his outfit seems quite comfortable to wear!
