If you’ve ever wanted to be a King or Queen, then at some point I’m sure you’ve thought of wearing a crown. Yes, those fancy tiaras always make you feel so proud and majestic! Whether the character is from an Anime, video game, comic or film, there are a lot of cool characters that wear crowns. But which characters are the best, and which one should you do? That’s what I’ll be talking about today!
In this article, I’ll go through 10 cosplay crown ideas you should definitely try! These are some of the best and most popular characters to wear crowns. I think you’ll be motivated enough to cosplay at least one of these characters.

Oh yes! Even though the Game of Thrones series ended a while back, the show is still in our hearts. From the beautiful scenery to the memorable characters such as Jason Lannister to Daenerys Targaryen, Game of Thrones was one of the best TV series of all time! And you can bet there are a plethora of characters that wear beautiful crowns from the show, including the Lannister family.

2. Princess Peach from Super Mario
Peaches peaches peaches! Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past 30-40 years, then you know Princess Peach is. She is the princess who always happens to be in another castle. Whereas Mario was usually the one trying to save her, these days Princess Peach is the one kicking butt. She has a new standalone game coming out for the Switch very soon. Princess Peach is always a wonderful choice for a cosplay, and you can proudly wear her crown while doing so!
3. Anna from Frozen
While Elsa usually gets all the attention, we cannot forget about Anna. She’s the younger sister of Elsa and a character you can definitely relate to. In the film, she grows up and develops into a mature and strong character. And of course, she wears a beautiful crown in both films that she’s in. Anna is a character with a crown you should definitely consider!
4. Rhea from Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Lady Rhea is the the Queen of the Monastery in Fire Emblem: Three Houses! She’s one of the main characters of the game and you can feel her presence every time you run into her. Rhea can be one of the most calm and soothing characters, while also being the most vile and scary.
Not only is her outfit wonderful and beautiful, she’s got insanely long green hair and her signature crown that you’ll love wearing!
5. A King or Queen
Don’t forget that there is a thing called Original Cosplay (OC). So if you want to cosplay your own King or Queen (or maybe both), then go right ahead! The nice thing about doing our own version is that you don’t have to follow any cosplay rules. You can customize your own costume and in this case, your own crown. So if you have a feel for creativity and imagination, then try being your own King or Queen!

Paimon is everybody’s favourite Emergency Food *ahem* I mean sidekick! Paimon is the game’s mascot who is super adorable and not afraid to tell you what Paimon thinks of you. In the game, she is the main character’s sidekick and usually the one explaining things. So if that’s what you’re into, then Paimon thinks you should cosplay as her! She’s got quite an interesting crown you can wear. 🙂
7. Fairies
Everyone loves fairies! And a lot of fairy characters wear beautiful crowns and tiaras. Some characters have cool-looking wings that you can attach to your costume (click here to learn how to make cosplay wings). Fairy characters are usually cute. You just need to be careful at cosplay conventions if you’re wearing wings, as to not smack anybody at the con!

8. Sakura Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura
Here’s a magical girl that wears a nice crown! If you’re looking for a cute/kawaii magical girl to cosplay, then Sakura Kinomoto is totally for you! Similar to how many magical girl series start off, Sakura is your ordinary 10 year old girl in school. One day, she accidentally releases a bunch of magical cards called the Clow cards. At this point, she transforms into a magical girl and goes out on an adventure to retrieve the Clow cards back by fighting them in their battle form (think Yu-Gi-Oh).
The nice thing about cosplaying Sakura is that she has a lot of different outfits to choose from. You can go for her school outfit or one of her many transformation costumes (like the one in the photo). Be sure to carry her wand when you decide to pick one, and of course her beautiful crown!
9. Mermaids
We all know that there is one famous Mermaid we all know about. But don’t forget you can make your own custom mermaid cosplay! While I personally never tried cosplaying a mermaid, some of my friends have and they always look magnificent doing so. And you should definitely do so while wearing a beautiful crown like this:

10. Princess Tiana
Princess Tiana was in such a good film. I’m really surprised that I don’t see many cosplayers dressing up as her. I found the film pretty fun to watch and Tiana is a great character who just wants to start up her own restaurant. She wears a pretty lime green dress!
