If you’re a cosplayer that wears glasses, this is something that you can definitely relate to. You want to perfect that character look. You’re all about cosplay accuracy. You have everything put together. The only problem is…you wear glasses! You don’t want to ruin the look of your cosplay by needing to wear glasses. What can you possibly do? Cosplay a character that actually wears glasses! That’s what we’ll discuss today!
In this post, I’ll give you 15 cosplay ideas with glasses you should try!
Surprisingly or not surprisingly, a lot of these ideas are from Anime series. But not to worry, I also have video game and comic book characters as well. I’m sure you’ll find a character you’ll like here on this list.

1. Hyuuga from Kuruko No Baske
Yes sir! Hyuuga from KnB is such an awesome cosplay to do! I can attest because I’ve cosplayed him myself. He is incredibly easy to cosplay; you just need his jersey and shorts, and of course the glasses. I personally don’t wear glasses, so I just took the lens out. And you need a basketball of course. Bonus points if you can dribble and handle the ball. 🙂
2. Auron from Final Fantasy X
Tidus, Yuna and Rikku may get all the cosplay love, but Auron is still awesome as well! He’s got that awesome red tunic, carries a huge sword and he’s got that big jug of whatever inside. You might not think he wears glasses but he actually does! Just very subtly
3. Sucrose from Genshin Impact
Do you like smart-looking characters? Then Sucrose is your girl to cosplay! Armed with alchemy skills and ability to think outside the box, Sucrose’s biggest frustration is trying to name all her crazy experiments. She may be just a side character compared to Amber or Paimon but she’s still a great character. And her outfit and glasses are really awesome!
4. Bayonetta
Oh yeah! For those who don’t know, Bayonetta is a super crazy woman who kicks a lot of ass! She is a witch who is able to summon demons, perform magical attacks and of course use firearms. The games have been well-received and her character is loved by many. 5. Protagonist from Persona 5
If you’ve played Persona 5, then you definitely know how Protagonist is! Not only does he look great, he also wears some of the coolest glasses I’ve ever seen. It’s why I decided to cosplay as Protagonist. 🙂
6. Sailor Mercury from Sailor Moon
Sailor Mercury (also known as Amy) is one of the more popular Sailor Scouts! And for good reason. Amy is the smartest one, with over 200 IQ. And she’s the first friend that Usagi meets in the series. Not only that, her blue outfit is so beautiful. Sailor Mercury is not just a palette swap like many characters in an Anime or even video game for that matter. She’s her own character, and that’s why she’s worth cosplaying!
7. Maes Hughes from Fullmetal Alchemist
Maes Hughes is one of the more popular characters from Fullmetal Alchemist. He is truly a hero for what he did in the series, if you’ve watched it. You can make his State Military uniform from scratch, but it’s a lot easier to buy online because the outfit is widely available. Would be even cooler if you cosplayed him with Roy or Riza.
8. Waldo
Who doesn’t love Waldo? He’s that infamous character you’re always trying to look for (along with Wendy)! Waldo is the perfect closet cosplay if that’s what you’re looking for. All you need are the red and white stripes, and of course the cute glasses!
9. Nina from Code Geass
Nina Einstein is quite the interesting character from an iconic series. At first she’s a shy and timid girl, but after a few traumatic experiences, she becomes more violent, outgoing and insane. I don’t know if I’d consider Nina a Yandere, but even if she is or isn’t, she’s a great character to cosplay. An insane genius!
10. Rize from Tokyo Ghoul
Rize is one of a truly evil and dark character from Tokyo Ghoul! She’s got that innocent look with the purple hair and eye glasses. But deep down inside, she’s got a hunger to kill and eat humans! Rize is a great cosplay option if you’re looking to cosplay someone from Tokyo Ghoul and someone with glasses.
11. Futaba from Persona 5
Futaba is definitely one of the more popular characters from P5; Futaba looks great as a cosplay! Most of the things you need to cosplay her involve regular clothing. And her big glasses make her look all the more cool!
12. Homura from Madoka Magica
Does Homura get the spotlight she deserves? When it comes to Madoka Magica cosplays, usually Madoka herself gets most of the attention. Even Mami gets more love than Homura, which is sad considering she is the true hero of the story (in my opinion).
Since Madoka Magica is also an older series, you’ll likely find Homura’s outfit in the discount section of cosplay websites. She’s an easy one to cosplay as well. Just bring a toy pistol and the glasses with you to complete the cosplay of Homura!
13. Mey-rin from Black Butler
Mey-rin is such a great character from Black Butler. While on the surface, she may seem innocent, when it comes to fighting enemies, she definitely does not shy away! Mey-rin’s dress looks really nice, and she pairs super well if you also have a Sebastian and Ciel cosplayer with you. Maybe Grell as well.
14. Alucard from Hellsing
I don’t know why, but Alucard reminds me of Mick Jagger. They’re both so badass! Alucard is one guy you don’t want to mess with. His outfit is so cool as well. So if you want a cosplay ideas with glasses, Alucard is one character you’ll want to consider.
15. Kyoya from Ouran Host Club
Ouran Host Club is an older series from the 2000s. But it remains popular, especially with Otaku who grew up watching it. What’s great about this series is that almost every character is easy to cosplay, including Kyoya who happens to wear glasses.
Most of the outfit is just regular clothing. The only unique part is the blue blazer with the club logo, but you can buy that online or through other easy methods.
